Long Description
This exquisite saree is a testament to traditional Indian craftsmanship, handcrafted by skilled artisans primarily in the Bagru region of Rajasthan. It is made from Kota Doria fabric, a blend of cotton and silk that is prized for its unique square-check pattern (known as khats) and its lightweight, airy feel, making it comfortable for various climates and occasions.
The saree features a vibrant yellow body that transitions into a rich blue pallu and border through an ombre or dual-tone effect. The intricate patterns are created using natural dyes and various hand-block printing techniques, including Bagru and Dabu print. Dabu is a mud-resist process that gives the fabric a distinct, slightly cracked or vein-like texture to the printed areas, adding to its artisanal charm. This particular design often includes traditional motifs and patterns. The saree typically comes with an unstitched running blouse piece of around 80 cm length.
